Installing Android 4.3 Jelly Bean SuperNexus 3.0 ROM on Galaxy S3 By Staff Reporter | Nov 29, 2013 09:25 AM EST The SuperNexus 3.0 ROM is a bloatware-free Jelly Bean build made to resemble a Nexus-style interface. It features numerous bug fixes and custom enhancement hand-selected by the CyanogenMod team.This guide will walk you through the installation process. As always, Droid Report assumes no liability for the firmware installation. Proceed with caution.Before Getting StartedThis guide is intended only for Galaxy S3 handsets bearing the I9300 model number. Flashing any other device through this method may result in a bricked phone.You will need to be rooted and running ClockworkMod.As always, you want to backup your device and charge it to at least 80 percent. Finally, enable USB Debugging mode by navigating to Settings -> Developer Options.Installing SuperNexus 3.0 ROM (Jelly Bean 4.3) On Samsung Galaxy S3 1) Youâll need to download the ROM, which can be found here, as well as the Google Apps package.2) Using your USB cable, connect your Galaxy S3 to a computer and copy the SuperNexus 3.0 ROM and Google Apps package to the root folder of your handsetâs SD card.3) Power off and disconnect your phone from your computer. Boot into Recovery mode by holding down Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together.4) Using CWM recovery, perform âwipe data/factory reset,â âwipe cache,â âwipe dalvik cache,â and finally, format the system through the âmounts and storageâ submenu. 5) Navigate to âInstall Zip from SD cardâ within CWM recovery and navigate to the ROM you copied earlier, which will be in a .zip archive. Once you select the ROM, your Galaxy S3 will begin to install SuperNexus 3.0 and the process should take five minutes or so to finish. Do nothing until the installation is complete.6) Repeat Step 5 to install Google Apps.7) Once the ROM is loaded, navigate to âReboot System Nowâ and allow the phone to restart. Once it boots back up, you are officially running SuperNexusâs 4.3 Jelly Bean custom ROM. Kudos.
