Many users were hoping that the phone would be a Nexus device, perhaps even the Nexus 5 but that doesnât seem to be the case as the LG Optimus G2 appears set to be the upcoming Nexus 5. The specs reported on the Motorola X by Android Central are as follows:· 1.7GHz dual-core Snapgragon MSM8960DT· Adreno 320 GPU· 2GB of RAM· 16GB of internal storage · 10MP âClearPixelâ camera· 720p display (possibly AMOLED)<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/OOWIKmWpVO8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>The Motorla X release date is expected to be to be at the end of July, as per an ad that Motorola released on July 4th. Other features of the Motorola X are the always-on voice control features shown in the video, allowing the handset always being able to be given commands. Itâs not clear if there is a way for the feature to be shut off or for the voice commands to differentiate between user commands and other people. Another feature of the Motorola X is âActive Updatesâ. Which has on-screen notifications rather than the multicolor LED notifications most Android handsets have. Some users have expressed concern about the impact on battery life of the Motorola X but CEO Dennis Woodside has promised that Motorola has found a way to make staggering improvements to battery life. Itâs still not clear exactly how long we are talking but we would be interested to see what innovations Motorola has developed.
