Google Pixel XL 2 Specs & Features: Squeeze Gestures, Always On Display, Multiple Display Profiles, And More By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | Jul 16, 2017 07:21 PM EDT Previously, there are several renders of the upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 got leaked revealing about device's specs and other details. However, recently a new report comes to tell a few things about the unique software features upcoming Pixel XL 2 will sport. The upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 is going to have always-on display functionality, which is something that's made possible by its OLED screen. This feature will be an optional setting. Always on display feature will show useful information and notifications while the phone is locked and inactive. Many other smartphones come with the same functions, as reported by GSM Arena. This information on the features reportedly comes from "a source familiar with the matter". The already leaked squeeze frame function will be available to the device regardless of whether the Google Pixel XL 2 is locked and the display off or not. The squeezing intensity will be adjustable similar it is in the HTC U11. The ability to silence incoming calls may also be added to the squeeze frame feature on Google Pixel XL 2 at some point in the future. The sRGB mode everyone is enjoying since Google's later Nexus days will leave its secluded spot behind Developer Options, and move to the normal Display settings. It will be accompanied by a "Vivid Colors" option, suggesting Google is focusing a bit more on display customization this time around for Google Pixel XL 2, as reported by XDA-Developers. The Google Pixel XL 2 will be made by LG and has been rumored to come with a 5.99-inch 2,880x1, 440 18:9 OLED touchscreen. The device will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset, and a two-tone glass and metal back design - though unlike the original from last year, in this Google Pixel XL the fingerprint sensor won't be encased in the glass part, which is now smaller.
