AMD Radeon RX Vega Release Confirmed For SIGGRAPH 2017; Gaming Vega To Beat Every Gaming Card By Harsh Soni h_soniji@rediffmail.com | Jul 05, 2017 03:20 PM EDT After the so much hype, the official release date of AMD Radeon RX Vega has been finally confirmed by AMD. The company will launch Gaming Vega card at SIGGRAPH 2017. According to a Twitter post, AMD will be hosting its second 2017 CAPSAICIN SIGGRAPH event in California Sunday, July 30. During the last AMD Capsaicin & Cream event held in March, AMD has revealed Radeon Vega and this time they will release the final AMD Radeon RX Vega card, as reported by OCAHolic. However, right now it's still unclear on what AMD is going to reveal during the event. There are quite a few things apart from AMD Radeon RX Vega, which AMD could have up its sleeves such as Ryzen Threadripper, Radeon Instinct or even Radeon Pro. This event will be starting between 7:30 PM and ends by 8:45 PM PST. So far it's not been mentioned on whether there is going to be a live stream or not. However, everyone is hoping to see the final AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics card launch during the Capsaicin Siggraph event and the best case that would be a hard and not just a paper launch. AMD has launched its new Radeon Vega Frontier Edition recently, with some so-so gaming performance that rivals a GeForce GTX 1070. However, it's not a gaming-orientated card, but a professional card that can game if the owner wants to, instead of switching between graphics cards for professional, and then personal/gaming use. On one hand, gaming cards like AMD Radeon RX Vega are typically always faster in games than their professional counterparts because they are tuned to deliver faster framerates rather than pinpoint color accuracy. However, Raja Koduri's also recently suggested in a statement that the AMD Radeon RX Vega cards for gamers could have higher specs than Frontier Edition.
